General Event Volunteers
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to volunteer if they are not actively working at their own LumaFest booth or activity. Alumni, retirees and community members are welcome and encouraged to volunteer.
Below is a list of activities typically performed by general event volunteers:
- Greet participants at set up and remind them when it's time for closing
- Help direct traffic
- Assist participants and guests with information and issues during the event
- Hand out event programs and ask guests how they heard about the event
- Answer questions about event activities
- Help our guests find their way around campus
- Help our guests learn about our SRJC programs
- Wayfinding
- Assist with activities
- Provide performance support
- Help with setup or breakdown
Work Shifts
A typical volunteer shift is for the full event, 11am-3pm, but we also have partial event hour volunteer options, as well.
